However, the price rebounded to CNY 18,400 per metric tonne on April 10th, 2023, before declining to CNY 18,200 per metric tonne on May 8th, 2023.
The reasons for the price volatility in the aluminum market are multifaceted, including ongoing pandemic and geopolitical tensions, rising demand from the construction and automotive industries, and limited supply due to production cuts by major producers.
In response to these fluctuations, Chinese aluminum manufacturers are taking various steps, including reducing production costs, diversifying product offerings, and exploring new markets.
